Well, no. I’m not Nick Jonas, or the character he plays in Camp Rock 2. In fact, I’m not even a boy… I’m a girl, thank you very much.
So who am I?
I’m Sarah. I’m currently a high school senior at a boarding school, and it’s been one of the best experiences I’ve had in my short life. Unlike a lot of people my age, I know I’m going to miss these years, but I have great memories that I can cherish for the rest of my life.
Another way to describe me is that I’m a nerd disguised as an athlete. I’ve always been a tomboy and loved sports. I played most of them growing up, but have focused on basketball more as I got older, though I do enjoy volleyball and softball and play for my school teams. I watch pretty much all sports on TV, but my favorites are basketball (because I also play it) and football (go Eagles!)
I describe myself as a nerd because, well, I am. I have a love for learning and I’m that girl who actually does all the assigned reading for class and has notes that people can copy when they miss class. I’m a voracious reader, and I have been since I was a very young child. Then I’m also kind of a film junkie, however I am picky about the movies I watch.
My aspiration is to become a YA author. Young adult books are my favorite ones to read, and yes, I’m aware that I’m a young adult. I don’t think that will ever change though. I do actually write some short stories at the moment, and I’m hoping to take these characters and write a full-length novel with them someday.
So that is a little about me, Sarah the Nerdy Athlete. I guess this blog will be more of a random thoughts/online diary kind of thing, at least until I figure out what direction I’d like to take with this blog.
